ϟ What’s the best birthday cake you ever ate?

Carrot cake with real cream cheese frosting, second best has to be Red Velvet, YUMMY!

ϟ How do you engage with panhandlers on the street?

Depends, if they make eye contact with me and I feel they’re honest, I’ll usually give them whatever small bills and change I have. If they can’t even bother to look up or make an attempt to connect, I don’t either.

ϟ Do you think LOVE is chemical, intellectual, spiritual — or completely undefinable?

I think love is all of those things.

ϟ Have you ever dreamed about starting a business? (Or if you’ve already got one — a new business?)

I’ve started a business in the past, closed it down and am in the early stages of starting another one.

ϟ Are you afraid of flying in airplanes? (How come?)

No way, I have no qualms about flying.

ϟ What’s your most urgent priority for the rest of the year?

Getting my new venture up and running and replacing the income from my “9-5 for someone else” career and starting the prerequisites for my upcoming 5 year degree.

ϟ If you could master any instrument on earth, what would it be?

I have very little auditory memory, I’ve played all the instruments I was ever interested in and it just doesn’t resonate with me. I love listening to music but I have no passion for playing it.

ϟ Have you ever been genuinely afraid for your physical safety?

Yes. Near misses in cars, absolutely getting my ass kicked regularly by a spouse. Once I was riding a 4 wheeler on a farm and someone suggested we should race. He ended up passing me when he squeezed me into a barbed wire fence. I just imagined as fast as we were going – if I hit that fence, it would shred me.

ϟ What are you an expert on? Is it because of training, lived experience, or both?

I can’t say I’m an expert of anything. There’s always more to learn about a thing.

ϟ Has a teacher ever changed your life? How so?

Sure, Miss Diane in 1st grade and her Bid Bird puppet stories, the gentle encouragement from Mr Grunest in 5th grade creative writing. Jeanie and her Personal Power class in 11th grade, Ellie and her Business Skills class also in 11th grade.
